What does the course entail?

The Certificate I in Workplace Skills is a Year 12 course that supports students to develop practical workplace skills while working toward a nationally recognised qualification.
Students build confidence in completing workplace tasks, improve their communication skills, and develop positive work habits such as reliability, organisation, and following instructions. The course provides structured support to help students succeed in a practical learning environment. This course is suited for students who benefit from additional support and guidance while building their confidence, independence, and readiness for work or further training. Students complete this program alongside the Certificate II Workplace Skills class, participating in shared learning experiences while working toward outcomes that match their individual learning needs. What will be covered in this course?
Students will take part in structured learning and practical experiences that focus on developing real world workplace skills.
The course includes:
Students are supported with clear guidance, structured tasks, and regular feedback to help them build confidence and achieve success.
This course has a VETIS fee $TBA. This fee contributes to the cost of delivering a nationally recognised qualification, including RTO auspicing, assessment, and certification.
The course includes:
- Completion of units from the Certificate I in Workplace Skills
- Practical tasks that reflect everyday workplace activities
- Development of communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
- Activities that build confidence in following instructions and completing tasks
- Learning alongside Certificate II students in shared class experiences
- Opportunities to apply skills in supported workplace or simulated environments
