What does the course entail?

The Certificate II in Workplace Skills is a Year 12 course that provides students with a nationally recognised qualification while developing the practical skills required for employment and further training.

Students build confidence completing workplace tasks, develop clear and professional communication, and learn how to meet expectations in a structured work environment. The course focuses on responsibility, organisation, and producing work to a required standard.

This course is suited for students who are looking to gain a recognised qualification, strengthen their employability, and take a clear step toward employment or further study.

Students will gain:
  • A nationally recognised Certificate II qualification
  • Practical skills aligned to workplace expectations
  • Evidence of competency for employment or further training
  • Improved confidence in completing tasks independently
  • A clear pathway into work, traineeships, or further study
Student expectations:
  • ​Meet assessment requirements, complete tasks independently, and demonstrate consistent effort and professionalism.
  • Completion of Workplace Learning is an expectation of this program.

Students will complete a range of structured learning and assessment tasks aligned to workplace expectations and national competency standards.

The course includes:
  • Completion of units from the Certificate II in Workplace Skills
  • Practical tasks that reflect real workplace activities
  • Development of professional communication and digital skills
  • Activities focused on organisation, teamwork, and responsibility
  • Assessment tasks that demonstrate competency in workplace skills
  • Opportunities to apply skills in real or simulated workplace settings

Students are required to meet clear assessment requirements and demonstrate their skills consistently across tasks.

This course has a VETIS fee of $250. This fee contributes to the cost of delivering a nationally recognised qualification, including RTO auspicing, assessment, and certification.
