What does CERTIFIED TRAINING entail?

Students enrolled in the Year 11 Work Ready Program and Year 12 Certificate II Workplace Skills course have the opportunity to complete recognised training that complements their learning and career interests.
These qualifications provide practical skills, industry knowledge and valuable evidence of competency that can support employment, further training and future pathway opportunities. Students may complete one certified training option in Year 11 and a second option in Year 12, allowing them to build practical skills and recognised qualifications over time. Certified Training is delivered through the College's preferred training partners, with most training conducted within the Rockingham region and surrounding metropolitan area. Students select an industry area of interest, and will complete certified training opportunities aligned to that industry area throughout the program:
Students are encouraged to continue within the same industry area across Years 11 and 12 to maximise the value of their qualifications.
Students who already hold a qualification, or whose interests change, may select an alternative training option where places, prerequisites and provider requirements allow.
