What does the course entail?
This two-year course is aimed at students who wish to further develop their skills both on stage and behind the scenes. They may wish to extend their skills, follow a career in the theatre industry or pursue further study. This course is offered through the Australian Teachers of Dancing, which is a respected performing arts organisation and recognised nationally.
This course is highly practical in both on stage and design roles, allowing students to develop a well-rounded understanding of the theatre industry. Students will be working on exciting and authentic projects which will involve connection with both college performances and the wider community. Please be aware that students will be required to attend extra performances and rehearsals when required. |
Possible Careers Career pathways include live production assistant in theatre, music or corporate events, event management, lighting operator and/or designer, Audio operator and designer, vision system operator, staging assistant/crew, stage make-up/hair consultant, live production assistant in theatre, music or corporate events and film/television. It is the perfect platform for further training for many of the above as well as providing a broad skillset for many other careers both inside and outside of the theatre and production. |
