What does the course entail?
This qualification is delivered in one year to Year 12 Students ONLY. It provides students with an introduction to the financial services industry. The course will introduce students to basic skills including workplace safety and communication. It also provides students with a foundation of financial literacy. The course is an ideal pathway for further study or for students seeking a variety of entry-level positions.

Units of Competency
In order to achieve the full qualification, students will need to complete all 8 units of competency:
Core Units
Assessment Structure
Students will be assessed as ‘competent’ or ‘not yet competent’ for each of the units of competency within the qualification. If a student’s work is returned Not Yet Competent, they are encouraged to resubmit the work as many times as required in order to achieve competency.
Expectations
It is expected that students use class time effectively and may be required to spend up to 30 minutes a night completing the tasks involved. A mature approach to time management is vital in order to stay on top the work.

- FNSINC301 Work effectively in the financial services industry
- FNSFLT201 Develop and use a personal budget
- FNSFLT202 Develop and use a savings plan
- FNSFLT206 Develop knowledge of taxation
- BSBITU201 Produce simple word-processed documents
